Here's an interesting COLOR film that was released by MGM back in 1949; it features western and northern Michigan: Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, Harrison, Castle Rock, Sault Ste. Marie and other locations.

It also shows what the Straits of Mackinac looked like BEFORE the bridge was built.
