Have You Ever Started a Project that Got out of Control?

On this date last year, I thought since my husband Ed has 5 days off, why not redo the family room.  What started as pulling the wallpaper down and repainting over a weekend ended in a 6 month project complete with updating electrical, insulating and putting in new lights and a ceiling.  We spent last New Years Eve with masks on our faces to remove mold in the ceiling and in the dark, because the old electrical blew, not a good day to find an electrician.  But in June it was done and it is the most peaceful calming room in the house.  Just a note, if you're thinking of redoing a room in an old house, count on it take a lot longer and costing about 3 times as much money.
