Utility crews had restored power to all but a few hundred Lansing-area customers on Monday evening in the aftermath of an ice storm that caused widespread outages over the weekend.

Consumers energy reported that about 2,730 customers statewide remained without power Monday afternoon, including about 600 in Eaton and Ingham counties.

All told, about 140,000 Consumers customers were affected by the storm, which brought a mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow to central and south central Michigan on Saturday and Sunday.

Lansing received about a third of an inch of ice, while East Lansing received nearly two-thirds of an inch, according to the Lansing State Journal.
